BC2L-A is a lectin that come from the opportunistic gram-negative pathogen Burkholderia cenocepacia. This bacteria causes highly contagious pneumonia among cystic fibrosis (CF) patients. BC2L-A agglutinates human and rabbit erythrocytes.
